About Me

I love my London roots and I am proud to say that I was born in Westminster hospital, just a few minutes away from my first home. My relationship with and love for movement began when I was just 4/5 years old. I went from performing arts classes and training to professional and west end

My relationship with and love for movement began when I was just 4/5 years old. My mother taught me how to dance Calypso and soon noticed that I could feel the music and translate her instruction and apply it to my body very easily for someone my age.

At a young age I began to take class in the realm of dance as well as other expressive art forms and that innocent participation soon turned into training and subsequently evolved into performing processionally. This would eventually lead to a career on the West End and choreographing. I began to teach an array of movement modalities to children when I was aged 18. These experiences in my past have meant that Yoga Asana (poses) came somewhat naturally to me when I was introduced to it in university. It was described as a good compliment to the rigorous dance training I was doing. I didn’t take head and the irony is that although that a career with foundations in  movement sets one up well for yoga teaching it’s precisely the stress that professional dance and performing puts on our mind - body and spirit that attracts you to Yoga practice and you find that you rely on it to unzips some of the damage done buy the slog of show business. These days you will not often find me on the stage but am still holding a torch for my love of performing arts but I have for the most part decided to now dedicate myself to service in the wellness industry.

After a cancer diagnoses, treatment and remission experience in 2013 I had to take a cold hard look at myself and thus begun a journey of transformation. I promised myself that i was going to value my life and subsequently was introduced to Buddhism and became a member of the SGI where I begun to heal my childhood trauma and soothe my health anxiety through chanting the mantra mediation Nam -myo-ho-rengue-kyo under Daisaku Ikaeda's mentorship and understanding of Nicheren Daishonin's dissection and understanding of Shayamuni Buddha’s Lotus Sutra.

Now my days are happily centred around family life and the pursuit of knowledge about all facets of wellness. Everyday I am actively trying to show myself more compassion, feel the gratitude and abundance of this life even in the face of adversity and remind myself that there is a part of me that is and always will be whole and sated.
